Despite announcing in July that it would rename a roller coaster in honor of LeBron James if he returned to Cleveland, the Cedar Point amusement park has decided to get LeBron involved in a different way.

Cedar Point has 17 roller coasters, with names like "Iron Dragon" and "Millennium Force." One even shares a name with LeBron's agent, "Maverick."

LeBron, presumably enticed by the notion of riding his own roller coaster, did decide to sign with the Cavaliers, but the park has changed its mind.

The park announced Tuesday that it has established a long-term partnership with the LeBron James Family Foundation. LeBron's foundation provides academic support for children in Northeast Ohio.

There will be no "King James" coaster. Instead they'll help kids, which is still cool.
