His nephew wasn't around when his career began in 1995, but the little guy was front and center at the end — tipping his "RE2PECT" hat to his famous uncle.

Plenty of Jeter-related stuff from the last couple of months will endure, especially the Gatorade and hat tip commercials.

But possibly the most indelible image as Jeter goes into the next phase of his life will be the face of young Jalen. A kid who just enjoys tipping his cap.
