New Indiana QB Zander Diamont's stepmother was on Seinfeld
Injuries have forced Indiana to start true freshman Zander Diamont at quarterback this Saturday against No. 8 Michigan State. Being the starting quarterback of perennially terrible football team isn't all that cool, but having a stepmother who was on Seinfeld is pretty cool.
Diamont's father is Don Diamont, who had recurring roles on both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. In 2012, after dating for more than 10 years, Diamont married actress Cindy Ambuehl. Ambuehl's resume isn't quite as long as her husband's but she does have the distinction of playing Jerry Seinfeld's girlfriend in an episode of his eponymous sitcom titled "The Burning."

Diamont joins the slowly growing fraternity of college quarterbacks with actress mothers. Miami QB Brad Kaaya's mom was Felicia in Friday.
