LSU coach Les Miles wants you to know how important Election Day is
LSU head football coach Les Miles likes to use his press conferences as public service announcements. Last year, he used the opportunity to make sure everyone knew how to properly celebrate Columbus Day. This year, he's stressing the importance of exercising our constitutional right to vote.
Just recognize that it's election day coming up, where all those model citizens will get off and take care of their duties to their country. This is not Columbus Day; this is not just for the Italians. This is certainly not St. Paddy's; it's not just for the Irish. It is for all of those who have the ability to vote in our country, so get out and do that, please.

That's how he opened the press conference. He just walked to the podium and led off with that. Then he jumped straight into talking about this week's game against Alabama. No transition or anything. He's just a guy with a message to make.
LSU plays Texas A&M on Thanksgiving, so we can surely look forward to another lesson from Les.
