Friday's A.M. Hot Clicks: Frustrated Kobe Bryant Reaches Boiling Point

Angry Kobe is the Best Kobe

It's been a rough season for Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. Steve Nash announced he was out for the year before the first game, Carlos Boozer is a proud member of SI's All-Atrocious Team and Nick Young is ... Nick Young. Bryant's frustration finally boiled over during practice yesterday and he cursed out GM Mitch Kupchak and various teammates for being "soft like Charmin" (which led to this great tweet). Best of all, the entire incident was caught on video by ESPN's Arash Markazi. On the bright side, it's good to see Arash, one of my favorite former co-workers, in the news. Let's not forget his other famous video, which involved Kate Upton doing The Dougie.
Big Week For People With Same Name
It's been a successful week for Marlins GM Dan Jennings, who acquired second baseman Dee Gordon and pitcher Mat Latos in back-to-back days. The move that caught most people's attention, however, is his trade of pitcher Dan Jennings since they have the same name and the trade was clearly made to avoid future confusion bolster Miami's depth. This comes days after the revelation that in high school, SI Sportsman of the Year Madison Bumgarner dated a girl named Madison Bumgarner.
Best of the Ugly Christmas Sweaters
Ugly Christmas Sweaters are all the rage this year and I'll be giving away a couple NBA ones early next week (stay tuned!). Meanwhile, I can't say enough good things about these six NFL Player Sweaters made by the fine folks at Fresh Brewed Tees. The Peyton Manning and Dez Bryant ones are my favorites but they are all pretty fantastic.
Lovely Lady of the Day
Mikaela Hoover likes to eat pizza, Big Macs and takeout food, which is a diet I can get behind. She will also be in Reservoir Entertainment's Zombie Basement webseries, which stars Angela Kinsey from The Office, among others. She earns today's LLOD honors (click here for full-size gallery).
Social Media Snafu of the Day
Cardinals backup QB Ryan Lindley got some playing time during last night's game against the Rams after starter Drew Stanton went down with an injury. But that didn't stop Lindley's Twitter account from posting information about a Bible giveaway. It turns out it was a charity sending tweets from Lindley's account, so, as the cliche goes, "no harm no foul." Somewhere,J.R. Smith is trying to find a charity that will take the blame for him "liking" Instagram models in the middle of a Knicks game.

From the SI Vault

Yesterday marked the 29-year anniversary of The Super Bowl Shuffle, which is a great excuse to bust out this classic photo. I can't imagine how big a social media sensation the song would be if it had come out in 2014.
