Two Rams Go Homeless
Rams teammates William Hayes and Chris Long (the two guys carrying Robert Quinn in the above photo) wanted to experience homelessness so they went undercover and spent 24 hours living on the streets of downtown St. Louis. I hope this story gets 1/10th the attention of Deflategate.
Great Weekend For 92-Year-Olds
It's not very often I get to write about 92-year-olds in Hot Clicks but it's not very often that a 92-year-old runs a full marathon. Harriette Thompson, who overcame cancer three times, became the oldest woman to complete the feat when she crossed the finish line at the San Diego marathon in at 7:24:36. Meanwhile in Chicago, 92-year-old Tony Gianunzio threw out the first pitch before Sunday's Cubs-Royals game. Gianunzo was being scouted by the Cubs as a teenage pitching prospect when he joined the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He hadn't thrown a ball in 45 years and taught high school English after the war.
Dangers of the Job
Josh Hamilton smacked a two-run walkoff double Sunday to give Texas a three-game sweep over Boston. It was his first walk-off hit as a member of the Rangers since 2012 and his teammates celebrated by giving him a Gatorade Bath. Unfortunately for reporter Emily Jones, they didn't care who got soaked along with Hamilton.
Lovely Lady of the Day
I'm supposed to keep these things quiet but Daniela Lopez Osorio is coming in for a 2016 SI Swimsuit casting this week. I'm excited to meet her, especially after seeing her latest batch of photos for Nelly. She earns today's LLOD honors (click here for full-size gallery).
