Popular Mechanics sends cupcakes to Utah as peace offering
Popular Mechanics gave the Utah football team cupcakes as a peace-offering Thursday for insulting comments made in the magazine.
When Popular Mechanics magazine called Michigan's season-opener against Utah “a cupcake game,” the magazine added some fuel to the Utes' already ignited fire.
Even though Vegas has Utah as the favorite to win at home Sept. 3 after beating Michigan last season in Ann Arbor, the Utes clipped the page out of the magazine and hung it up in the locker room.
To make up for their mistake, the kind people at Popular Mechanics sent the Utes a peace-offering: some delicious cupcakes of their own.
There's nothing like a little dessert to make everything better.
