Jets Players React Over Possibility of Trade for Aaron Rodgers
Everyone is waiting for Aaron Rodgers to decide his next move, and despite conflicting reports, several Jets players seem to believe they will be playing with the star quarterback in 2023.
Jets players have been openly recruiting Rodgers for weeks, with the hope that the four-time NFL MVP would decide to agree to a trade to New York. That includes cornerback Sauce Gardner, wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall getting together to burn a cheesehead while making a recruiting pitch on video.
Now that a deal seems to be close, those same players already are celebrating their successful recruitment on Twitter.
With Rodgers, the Jets would get a massive upgrade at quarterback. The team totaled 15 passing touchdowns last season, which ranked 31st among the NFL’s 32 teams. The Jets were able to win seven games despite limitations in the passing game, so it is clear the group believes it can become a contender just by adding Rodgers to the roster.
