Ravens’ Lamar Jackson Had Perfect Reaction to His Madden 24 Rating

Add Lamar Jackson to the growing list of NFL stars who have a bone to pick with the developers overseeing the creation of Madden NFL 24.

The Ravens quarterback and 2019 NFL MVP appeared to be in a state of disbelief on Friday after finding out where he ranks on this year’s list of QB ratings. Tabbed with a rating of 91 overall, Jackson is currently the fourth-highest rated QB, behind a 99 overall Patrick Mahomes, 95 overall Joe Burrow and 94 overall Josh Allen

While Jackson’s ranking may seem accurate to some, others, including the man himself, were quick to disagree. Shortly after the announcement, the 26-year-old playfully jabbed at his rating on Twitter as he shared what he plans to do once he grabs the new game.

“Imma just move it to a 99 when [sic] I get the game,” Jackson tweeted.

Clearly, Jackson, who played in 12 games in 2022 due to injury, believes the Madden 24 developers may be sleeping on his abilities, especially considering he recently joined the coveted 99 club as the cover athlete for Madden 21.

Of course, with the preseason soon approaching, Jackson will have a chance to remind the world of his greatness in preparation for the 2023 season. Not to mention, the two-time Pro Bowler may be even more hell-bent on making a statement after ending his highly-publicized, months-long stalemate with Ravens brass and signing a lucrative, new contract extension.
