Raiders’ Josh Jacobs Evokes Michael Jordan With Blunt Statement on Holdout
On the heels of ending a lengthy holdout with the Raiders, Josh Jacobs wasted little time firing fans up for the season by sharing an epic statement, channeling the iconic words of the one and only Michael Jordan.
The star Raiders running back took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday to sound the alarm for his impending return moments after NFL Network broke the news of the one-year extension he inked worth up to $12 million.
Considering the hype surrounding his future, Jacobs, the NFL’s leading rusher in 2022, found the appropriate way to celebrate by evoking MJ’s legendary two-word press release announcing his return to the NBA in 1995.
“I’m back,” Jacobs tweeted alongside a smiling face with horns and a smirk emoji, suggesting it’s officially the start of scary hours for the rest of the league.
As if the NFL needed any indication, Jacobs’s blunt statement made it clear that he’s ready to get back to wreaking havoc on game day much like His Airness did upon re-joining the Bulls.
Needless to say, if Jacobs woke up, and continues to wake up, feeling like the GOAT, the 25-year-old’s chances of turning in another all-time season sound promising with Week 1 kicking off in just over two weeks.
