NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was recently hospitalized after breaking his hip following a fall.

Abdul-Jabbar fell at a concert according to a report by TMZ. The report said his condition was undisclosed.

Abdul-Jabbar, a center who won championships with the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers, is considered among the greatest players in NBA history. He won a championship with the Bucks in 1971 and then more five more while teaming with Magic Johnson and James Worthy with the Lakers during the 1980s.

He was twice named NBA Finals MVP while also winning the regular season MVP for a record six times. Abdul-Jabbar was the league's career scoring leader for nearly 40 years before current Lakers star LeBron James broke it last season.

Abdul-Jabbar has dealt with health problems in the past. He has battled prostate cancer and leukemia in recent years. He is one of the most accomplished players in basketball history because he won at all level. He was a state champion in high school in New York and later was part of UCLA dynasty during the 1960s before his successful NBA career.

Some have argued he deserves consideration along with James and Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird and Johnson as the best player in NBA history.
