Minnesota's No. 2 basketball recruit Daniel Freitag will play at Breck School for senior year
Daniel Freitag has announced he will be staying in Minnesota and will play for Breck School for the 2023-24 season.
"After much consideration, I've decided to stay in Minnesota and attend Breck School for my senior year," Freitag announced Sunday.
Freitag is the No. 2 basketball recruit in Minnesota for the 2024 class, and committed to the University of Wisconsin in June.
The former Bloomington Jefferson standout had announced earlier this year he would transfer to a prep school in California for his senior season, only to change his mind and opt for Breck.
The 6-foot-1 senior averaged 28.5 points for Bloomington Jefferson in 2022-23.
Breck is a private school in Golden Valley that competes in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference. They had a 19-9 record last season and lost in their section quarterfinals.
