Draymond Green had 4 words for Rudy Gobert after Anderson punch
Warriors forward Draymond Green kept receipts and clapped back at Rudy Gobert after the Wolves center punched teammate Kyle Anderson in Minnesota's 113-108 win over the Pelicans Sunday.
During a second quarter timeout, Gobert and Anderson were seen in what appeared to be a heated argument when the 30-year-old big man moved toward Anderson and punched him in the chest.
Gobert was escorted to the locker room and eventually ruled out for the second half of the Wolves' season finale against the Pelicans. In fact, the Timberwolves sent Gobert home for the aggressive incident.
Afterward, amongst a sea filled with reactions, Draymond Green tweeted: "Insecurity is always loud..." If it looks familiar in any way it's because those are the same four words Gobert tweeted after Green punched his teammate, Jordan Poole, during a practice last October.
The tweet from Green has now been viewed over 5 million times, just shy of the 6-plus million people who have seen Gobert's apology tweet.
Gobert punching Anderson was just the beginning Sunday as not long after Jaden McDaniels reportedly broke his hand when he punched a wall in a fit of frustration. His status for Tuesday's play-in game against the Lakers is unclear.
Minnesota beat the Pelicans to earn the No. 8 seed in the play-in tournament. They'll face the Lakers in Los Angeles at 9:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on TNT. If the Wolves lose, they'll play at home Wednesday night in a do-or-die against the winner of the other play-in game between No. 9 New Orleans and No. 10 Oklahoma City for the right to the No. 8 seed and a first-round series against No. 1 Denver.
A win over the Lakers would put the Timberwolves into the playoffs as the No. 7 seed and they would be set up for a rematch of last year's first-round series against the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies.
