USC vs. Notre Dame game odds, prediction, how to bet Week 7 college football
One of college football's most historic rivalry games returns to the gridiron this weekend, with one side looking to stay in playoff contention, while the other looks to dash those hopes after likely falling out of the race itself. No. 21 Notre Dame welcomes No. 10 USC to South Bend in Saturday's Week 7 action.
Notre Dame likely dipped out of College Football Playoff contention after taking its second loss of the season, a surprise upset on the road against undefeated Louisville, but Sam Hartman and the Irish offense have more than a shot against in this one.
That's because the USC defense doesn't appear to have improved much from last season. The unit directly cost the team in the Pac-12 title game, when a playoff berth was on the line, and again in a loss in the Cotton Bowl. Now, the Trojans rank 109th nationally by allowing 421 yards per game and is 113th against the pass.
