A pair of SEC West rivals both sitting at 3-1 on the year meet at The Vaught as No. 20 Ole Miss welcomes No. 13 LSU in college football's Week 5 action on Saturday.

LSU has won three straight since the second-half collapse against Florida State, posting 530 yards per game on offense, an attack relying more on throwing the ball as Jayden Daniels averaged 338 yards each time out, covering nearly 1,300 yards with 14 all-purpose touchdowns and two interceptions.

Ole Miss took an early lead at Alabama a week ago, but the Rebels were unable to maintain that success in the face of the Crimson Tide defense, losing in a 14-point decision and hoping to get more production from what should be a dynamite rushing attack, but is averaging 147 yards per game on the ground.

What do the experts think of the matchup? Let's see how the College Football Power Index computer prediction model projects the game.

College Football Power Index

Football Power Index (FPI) college football rankings and computer prediction model are a measure of team strength that predicts a team’s future performance.

Rankings and scores predictions are based on 20,000 simulations of a team’s season and games, using a combination of key analytics, including scores to date, quality of opponents, team talent, recruiting, and a team’s schedule.

Teams are ranked not strictly in order of talent like in other rankings, but by a projected point margin per game against an average team on a neutral field.
