Amid the preparations for the highly-anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 video game, luminaries and brand names from around the sport are signaling their interest to be involved, or not be involved, in the game when it hits shelves this summer.

One notable brand that will be included in the game is the Heisman Trophy, as college football's most prestigious individual award announced that it will take part in the video game this summer.

But other notable awards will not be featured in the game, as the National College Football Awards Association said it failed to reach an agreement with EA Sports.

The NCFAA said that EA Sports' offer was "not adequate for the rights fee for the awards," Association president Mark Wolpert told On3 Sports.

That means we won't see the likes of the Bednarik Award, the Biletnikoff, the Doak Walker, or the Maxwell, or other such honors.

But the Heisman will be, allowing fans to lead their favorite players to win the award and can compete for the Heisman as players in the series' "Road to Glory" mode that allows users to create their own college football star player.

EA last issued its popular college football video game more than a decade ago, back in 2013, after which the company announced that it was discontinuing the game.

But after the creation of the new NIL rules two years ago, EA went public by announcing that the game would return at some point in the future, with a projected release date of some point this July.
