Another Day, More Home Run History For the Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves pummeled the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday afternoon 12-5.
As is the case often in Braves games, the win was fueled by the power department. Ronald Acuna, Austin Riley and Matt Olson each hit homers in the victory, and Riley and Olson teamed up for some unique home run history.
Per @OptaSTATS on Twitter:
The @Braves' Austin Riley & Matt Olson have combined for back-to-back home runs in a game in April, May, June, July & August this season. They are the only teammates in MLB history to have back-to-back home runs in a game in five straight months in a single season.

The other day we told you that the Braves are on pace to break the single-season home run record and Olson and Riley are a major reason why.
Olson has a National League-leading 37 homers on the season while Riley now has 25. It was their 91st and 66th RBIs of the season, respectively.
With power like this, plus the impending returns of injured pitchers Kyle Wright and Max Fried, the Braves are the favorites to get to the World Series out of the National League. The Braves also won the World Series in 2021 and are better this season, owning the best record in baseball at 69-37.
The Braves are off on Thursday but will start a weekend series with the Chicago Cubs on Friday afternoon.
First pitch is set for 2:20 p.m. ET as Fried makes his return from the injured list. He's 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA this season.
The Cubs have not named a starter yet.
