When it comes to the health front for the Atlanta Braves, it's one step forward and one step back.

On Thursday, the team got good news that shortstop Orlando Arcia had started swinging a bat again as he looks to return from a microfracture in his left wrist.

Thursday also brought the negative news that starting pitcher Kyle Wright is on the injured list with a shoulder issue.

Then they saw Ronald Acuna Jr. exit the game against the Marlins after fouling a ball off his knee.

Friday the pendulum was swinging in the right direction again as the team announced it is activating closer Raisel Iglesias ahead of Friday's game with the Baltimore Orioles.

He had been out with shoulder inflammation and has not appeared in a game yet this season.

Braves Insider Grant McAuley tweeted:

"#Braves activated RHP Raisel Iglesias from IL, optioned LHP Dylan Dodd to Gwinnett.

INF Braden Shewmake was called up with INF Ehire Adrianza (right elbow inflammation) was placed 10-day IL retroactive to May 2.

C Travis d'Arnaud begins a rehab assignment tonight in Gwinnett."

Getting Iglesias back at the back end of the bullpen is a welcome development for Atlanta. AJ Minter has struggled this season, pitching to a 1-3 record with a 7.47 ERA.

Iglesias came to the Braves last year in a trade from the Angels and had a microscopic 0.34 ERA in 28 games and 26.1 innings. He has a lifetime 3.00 ERA in his career with the Reds, Angels and Braves. This will be his ninth season in the major leagues.

The Braves will play the Orioles in Atlanta tonight at 7:20 p.m. ET.

Atlanta is 22-10 on the season and in first place in the National League East.
