Atlanta Braves leadoff man Ronald Acuna Jr. is off to an electric start this season.

In fact, we've detailed Acuna's quest for history when it comes to home runs and stolen bases. He's chasing the idea of 40 homers and between 60 and 80 stolen bases. You can read more about that quest here.

He's also on pace for some history when it comes to runs scored.

Braves Insider Grant McAuley tweeted the following on Sunday:

#Braves Ronald Acuña Jr. is playing his 46th game.

He has now scored 44 times.

That's a pace for 155 runs. No player has eclipsed the 150-run plateau since Jeff Bagwell scored 152 for the Astros in 2000. Prior to that, it was the Yankees' Joe DiMaggio with 151 in 1937.

Currently, Acuna leads baseball in runs scored with those 44. Marcus Semien of the Texas Rangers is second at 41. Acuna also is second in baseball in batting average at .348 and tenth in baseball in homers at 11. He's got 18 stolen bases which is second in baseball.

On Sunday, Acuna is 1-2 at the plate with a run scored against the Seattle Mariners. At the time of this posting, the Braves lead the Mariners, 2-1, in the bottom of the third inning.

Atlanta entered play at 28-17 and in first place in the National League East. They are 4.5 games up on the Miami Marlins and 5.5 up on the New York Mets.

The Braves will host the Dodgers on Monday night at 7:20 p.m. ET.
