How to Watch Los Angeles Angels 2023 Spring Training Games: Broadcast Schedule
Spring training play has begun.
The Los Angeles Angels played their first spring training game Saturday, defeating the Seattle Mariners 5-1 at the Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona.
Here's a look at the Angels' entire spring training schedule:
The Angels will play an exhibition game against Team USA March 9, in the lead-up to the World Baseball Classic.
The Angels will have 26 games televised on Bally Sports West, and 30 of their games will be broadcast on the radio on KLAA AM830.
Here's a look at the Angels' spring training broadcast schedule:
The Angels have not posted a winning season since 2015 and have not made the playoffs since 2015. Last season, they finished in third place of the AL West with a 73-89 record. The Angels added Gio Urshela, Brandon Drury, Tyler Anderson and Hunter Renfroe over the winter, and hope to compete for a playoff spot in 2023.
Anderson should strengthen the Angels' pitching rotation. The 20th overall pick in the 2011 MLB Draft, Anderson experienced in a breakout season in year seven of his big league career in 2022, posting a 15-5 record, 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 163 ERA+, over 178.2 innings pitched and 28 starts for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Anderson's three-year, $39 million contract may prove to be one of the best signings of the winter.
The Angels will be competing in a difficult division. The Houston Astros are coming off winning their second World Series title in six years. The Seattle Mariners just returned to the postseason for the first time in 21 years, and the Texas Rangers continued to spend big this offseason, signing arms Jacob deGrom, Andrew Heaney, Nathan Eovaldi and Jake Odorizzi.
