Two days after winning the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the victorious squad of 10-to-12-year-olds returned to SoCal to meet their hometown team.

California – represented by the top team from El Segundo – defeated Curaçao on a walk-off home run in the finals Sunday. On Monday, the Los Angeles suburb held a parade for their Little League team, which included a speech from the mayor and a newly-decorated town hall.

Tuesday featured an arguably more fitting experience for the young ballplayers, though, as they were the guests of honor for the Los Angeles Dodgers' game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers – as well as the Los Angeles Angels – had already congratulated El Segundo on social media after the championship game, but an in-person celebration carried far more weight.

Superstar Mookie Betts and manager Dave Roberts, among others, spoke with the team and signed autographs while they lined up on the field to watch the Dodgers take batting practice. Louis Lappe, who hit the homer that helped California clinch the title, discovered he was taller than Betts and got to meet Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel.

The team was introduced during a pregame ceremony, then got to watch the game from the right field bleachers.

The Dodgers went on to win 9-1 with El Segundo in the stands cheering them on, improving to 82-49 on the season and 23-4 in August alone.

Los Angeles and Arizona will face off again on Wednesday, with first pitch scheduled for 10:10 p.m. ET, before the Dodgers get ready to host the first-place Atlanta Braves over the weekend.
