Opening Day Starting Lineups, Pitchers for Cubs vs. Brewers Game Thursday

In this story:
The Chicago Cubs will play their first game of the 2023 MLB season Thursday, taking on the Milwaukee Brewers at 2:20 p.m. ET at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Opening Day.
Cubs manager David Ross will give the ball to Marcus Stroman, who will make his first Opening Day start as a member of the Cubs. Stroman signed a three-year free agent contract with the club prior to the start of last season. Kyle Hendricks has started for the Cubs on Opening Day in each of the last three seasons, however a shoulder injury will have him begin the season on the Injured List in 2023, opening up an opportunity for Stroman to pitch on Opening Day for the third time in his career, and the first time since 2019, when he was a member of the Toronto Blue Jays.
2021 National League Cy Young Corbin Burnes will start opposite Stroman, taking the mound for the Brewers.
