The Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins will meet for round two of a three-game American League Central clash Tuesday night at Target Field at 7:40 p.m. ET in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the first series between the division rivals of 2023.

Chicago took game one with a 4-3 victory Monday afternoon. The Sox unfortunately lost shortstop Tim Anderson, who sustained a knee injury in Monday's game. Anderson will be out two to four weeks with a sprained knee.

With Anderson on the shelf, Elvis Andrus will slide back over to shortstop, the primary position he has played over his 15-year Major League career. Chicago signed Andrus last August, after losing Anderson for the remainder of the season due to injury. Andrus had been the club's primary second baseman to open the season. He will bat ninth Tuesday, with Romy Gonzalez receiving the start at second base. The White Sox are also without outfielder Eloy Jimenez.

Lance Lynn (0-1, 9.00 ERA) will take the mound Tuesday night for the White Sox. Twins ace Pablo Lopez will start opposite Lynn. The Twins acquired Lopez and prospects in exchange for 2022 American League batting champion Luis Arraez in a trade with the Miami Marlins in January.
