Starting Lineups, Pitchers for Houston Astros vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Game Tuesday

The Houston Astros will play game two of their three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park Tuesday evening at 6:35 p.m. ET. Here's a look at the Astros and Pirates' starting lineups and starting pitchers for Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Houston Astros will play game two of their three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park Tuesday evening at 6:35 p.m. ET.

The Astros picked up game one Monday night with a 8-2 victory over the Buccos. Tuesday, manager Dusty Baker will give the ball to rising star Cristian Javier (1-0, 3.27 ERA). It is Javier's third time through the rotation. The Chicago White Sox tagged three runs off Javier off eight hits and one walk in five innings in Javier's 2023 debut nearly two weeks ago. In his last outing, he allowed just one run on five hits and no walks in six innings, collecting his first victory of the season last week against the Detroit Tigers.

Mitch Keller (1-0, 3.86 ERA) will take the mound for the Pirates, who are off to an impressive 6-4 start to the season. The Pirates recently lost Oneil Cruz for four months, after the shortstop fractured his fibula when he collided with Chicago White Sox catcher Seby Zavala on a bang-bang play at home plate.
