Starting Lineups, Pitchers for New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays March 18 Spring Training Game
The New York Yankees will play the Toronto Blue Jays Saturday at 1:07 p.m. ET at the Blue Jays' spring training home, TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Florida.
Yankees' top prospect Anthony Volpe will continue to get some run at shortstop, while batting in the lead-off spot. Volpe has yet to make his Major League debut, but could be a key contributor for the Bronx Bombers once he receives a call-up to the show.
Nestor Cortes will take the mound for the Yankees, after enjoying his best professional season in 2022, earning him a trip to the All-Star Game.
Minor leaguer Bowden Francis will start for the Blue Jays. Francis was selected in the 2017 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers out of Chipola College in Marianna, Florida. The Blue Jays acquired Francis, along with Trevor Richards from the Brewers in July of 2021, in exchange for power-hitting first baseman Rowdy Tellez.
