Starting Lineups, Pitchers for Tampa Bay Rays vs. Cincinnati Reds Game Monday
The Tampa Bay Rays (14-2) will open a three-game series in Cincinnati against the Cincinnati Reds (6-9) Monday evening at 5:40 p.m. ET at the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Rays have taken Major League Baseball by storm, with an unexpected 14-2 start. The club opened the season 13-0, tying 1982 Atlanta Braves and 1987 Milwaukee Brewers for the longest winning streak to begin a season in baseball history. The Rays had a chance to become the first Major League team to begin a season 14-0 over the weekend, but suffered a loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. The Jays took two of three from the Rays, and now the Rays enter Monday at 14-2, with a four-game lead over Toronto (10-6) and the New York Yankees (10-6) in the American League East.
The Cincinnati Reds (6-9) split a four-game series with the Phillies over the weekend, and enter play Monday in last place in the National League Central.
Jalen Beeks (0-0, 3.00 ERA) will take the mound Monday night for the Rays. Opening Day starter Hunter Greene (0-0, 5.14 ERA) will get the ball for the Reds.
