Starting Lineups, Starting Pitchers for New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Game Wednesday
The New York Mets will close out a three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday afternoon at 3:10 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
The Mets took game one 8-6 on Monday, but were shut out by the Dodgers 5-0 on Tuesday night, as Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw picked up his 200th win of his career.
Former Dodger Max Scherzer (11-7, 4.41 ERA) will pitch against a team he spent the second half of the 2021 season with, in Wednesday's rubber match.
Noah Syndergaard (0-2, 5.63 ERA) will make his fourth start of the new season, pitching against his former team. Syndergaard spent the first seven years of his Major League career pitching for the Mets. He signed a one-year free agent contract with the Los Angeles Angels for 2022 and was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies for former no. 1 overall MLB Draft pick Mickey Moniak last summer at the trade deadline. Last winter, Syndergaard signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers.
Wednesday, Syndergaard and Scherzer will square off against their former teams.
