Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is doing some very impressive things in the early going of this season.

Just the other day against the Seattle Mariners, he hit a 460-foot home run off of Marco Gonzales.

Earlier this season, he became the fastest Blue Jays player ever to 500 career hits, besting both Vernon Wells and Shannon Stewart.

And now, he's joining some very exclusive company. Bichette had five hits on Monday night against the Boston Red Sox. That was his second five-hit game of the season.

Since the expansion era (1961), he's only the third player to have two five-hit games within his teams first 30 games of the season, joining Tony Gwynn (1993) and Kenny Lofton (1997).

Bichette, 25, is among the top young players in all of baseball. He was a second-round draft pick in 2016 by the Blue Jays and made his debut in 2019. He's played 159 games in each of the last two seasons and helped the Blue Jays make the playoffs in both the 2020 and 2022 seasons.

For his career, he's a .300 hitter with 76 home runs and 260 RBI. He's stolen 47 career bases and has a .838 OPS. This year, he's off to a great start. He's hitting .344 with seven home runs and 21 RBI while hitting second in one of the most prolific lineups in all of baseball.

Just for fun: Bichette wasn't the only one making history in Monday's game. Alex Verdugo of the Red Sox did too.

The Blue Jays are currently 18-11 and in third place in the American League East. They'll take on the Red Sox on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. ET.
