Washington Nationals manager Davey Martinez isn't making any friends with the Major League Baseball umpires lately.

Just last week, Martinez brought a photograph to highlight an umpire's missed call in a loss to the Houston Astros, and on Thursday, Martinez got his money's worth after getting tossed against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

You can watch the whole sequence here, courtesy of Talkin' Baseball on Twitter:

Davey Martinez was LIVID to the point where he laid down to show the ump how much his disagreed with the call

Now, the pitch that was thrown before all this happened was clearly a ball but the announcers pointed out that Martinez was still upset from other at-bats in the game.

Martinez is in his sixth year with the Nationals after getting the job in 2018. He led the Nationals to the 2019 World Series championship and since has undergone a massive rebuild that has seen the team trade away Juan Soto, Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber, Josh Bell and Max Scherzer.

The Nationals currently have a record of 28-45, which is the second-worst record in the National League. At the time of this posting, they trail the Diamondbacks, 5-1, in the seventh inning and are headed for another loss.

While it's frustrating for the Nationals now, they do have some reasons for optimism. Young players CJ Abrams and MacKenzie Gore are already at the Major League level while multiple other exciting prospects are down on the farm.

The Nats will will play the Padres on Friday night at 9:40 p.m. ET.
