The Rangers had a very active offseason, signing free agent pitchers Jacob deGrom, Jake Odorizzi, Nathan Eovaldi and Andrew Heaney. The Rangers spent big a year ago on free agents Corey Seager, Marcus Semien and Jon Gray. Despite the acquisitions, the Rangers finished just 68-94 in 2022. With an entirely made-over pitching staff, the Rangers hope to turn a corner and return to the postseason in 2023. Texas has not made a playoff appearance since 2016, when the club was swept out of the American League Division Series by the Toronto Blue Jays.
