One former champion under the AEW banner could be looking at legal trouble.

Back in late August 2023, AEW held its historic All In pay-per-view event inside Wembley Stadium in London, England. It was by far the company's biggest show in terms of attendance and was considered to be a major success. There was some major drama behind the scenes, however.

CM Punk would wrestle his final AEW match on the show due to a physical backstage incident involving Jack Perry. AEW founder Tony Khan was on the scene during the chaos, and went as far as to claim he feared for his life.

There was another situation where the status of one wrestler was in question after being arrested for a road rage incident. That wrestler was Cash Wheeler, and while he was able to make it to the show, he's still facing legal ramifications.

Wheeler, a former two-time AEW World Tag Team Champion with his FTR partner Dax Harwood, is now facing criminal charges from prosecutors in Orange County, Florida. PWInsider was the first to report the news. In the road rage incident last year, Wheeler allegedly pulled out his gun "at the other party."

Now that prosecutors have moved forward on pursing charges, Wheeler, who is also a former WWE superstar, could face up to five years in prison for aggravated assault with a firearm. Other potential punishments include five years' probation and a $5,000 fine. A hearing is set for February 20, which falls on a Tuesday.
