One key free agent in the wrestling industry is no longer WWE-bound, if a recent report is to be believed.

Free agency has been red hot in the industry. Longtime NJPW golden boy Kazuchika Okada stunned fans when he decided not to sign a new contract with the promotion he has called home for well over a decade. There has also been reports of Mercedes Moné possibly being announced as an AEW surprise in the near future.

Now, word is spreading that one top female free agent is no longer destined for the WWE spotlight.

A report from PWInsider claims that Kamille, a former NWA World Women's Champion, isn't expected to be a lock for WWE going forward. The report noted that one WWE source stated that Kamille had been offered an NXT contract at one point, but talks have been halted.

Instead, it appears Kamille could be looking at an AEW run. The report noted that signing with AEW would give her the opportunities to pursue acting roles, which is on her bucket list.

Many have been calling for Kamille to link up with a major promotion full-time, and it looks like she's closer than ever to realizing that goal. She is 31 years old, which is quite young in the wrestling business these days, so she figures to have plenty of time to maximize her opportunities wherever she lands.

Keep it locked on our homepage for the latest updates on Kamille's future once those details become available.
