Aljamain Sterling Offers Bold Prediction for UFC 292 Fight With Sean O’Malley

Aljamain Sterling doesn’t see Sean O’Malley lasting very long when the two bantamweights meet in the main event of UFC 292.
“Funk Master” has already defended his bantamweight title a record-tying three times since becoming champion in 2021, and the upcoming fight with O’Malley will provide another chance to etch his name in the UFC’s history books.

There’s been no love lost between the two fighters during the lead up to UFC 292, and Sterling has now predicted exactly when and how he expects to defeat O’Malley when the two fighters enter the cage in Boston.
“Sean will be a good striking test. But he makes one mistake and he’ll be on his back. GnP TKO, round 2! I’ve seen it play out hundred of times now. Almost time to execute the vision” – Sterling said on Twitter.
It’s no secret that the bantamweight title fight appears to be a classic striker vs. grappler matchup on paper, and Sterling has already collected a second-round TKO win during his title reign when he capitalized on T.J. Dillashaw’s shoulder injury and finished the former champion at UFC 280.

It didn’t answer many questions about his grappling ability, but O’Malley did silence a few of his doubters when he picked up a split decision in his last fight with Petr Yan. The former bantamweight titleholder was a sizeable favorite heading into the matchup, and the win helped “Sugar” distance himself from a disappointing No Contest that occurred when he took on Pedro Munhoz.
UFC 292 is now just a few weeks away, and in addition to the bantamweight title fight in the night’s headlining slot the card will also see Weili Zhang defend her strawweight belt against Amanda Lemos in the co-main event.
