Bellator MMA returned with another loaded event topped by two title fights when Bellator 301 took place at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

The main event saw Yaroslav Amosov attempt to defend his welterweight title for the third time when he took on Jason Jackson. “Dynamo” entered the night unbeaten in his career, but Jackson stopped the champion in the third round to claim his welterweight belt. 

The night’s co-main event featured Sergio Pettis taking on interim bantamweight titleholder Patchy Mix. Pettis hadn't lost since he joined Bellator in 2020 and had already defended his bantamweight belt twice, however the champion was forced to tap to a rear naked choke in the second round.

UFC 300: Who's Fighting & Who's Sitting This One Out?

The main card also included Raufeon Stots picking up another victory over Danny Sabatello in their second meeting. Former featherweight titleholder AJ McKee also took a unanimous decision over Sidney Outlaw, and the main card was kicked off by Alexander Shabliy defeating Patricky Freire to earn a spot in the finals of Bellator’s Lightweight Grand Prix.
