VIDEO: UFC Vet Bobby Green Knocks Out Grant Dawson in 30-Second Upset
Bobby "King" Green has defied the oddsmakers by knocking out Grant Dawson in just 30-seconds of their headlining bout at UFC Fight Night 229.
Green, the +380 underdog, sat down Grant with a straight left hand as "KGD" attempted a lazy left hook. He followed his foe to the ground, teeing off on Grant as he defenselessly curled up. The referee intervened and Green struck a pose and howled.

Green thanked God and hilariously tried to bring his dogs into the cage, but Daniel Cormier wasn't letting it happen. "King" didn't make any callouts, emphasizing that he didn't like to call shots. However, he was sure to register his interest in fighting again this year:
"I wanna be the most active fighter this year. ...If I can get on a Vegas card [in December]... that would be amazing," Green was elated in his post-fight interview.
In terms of December cards, Vegas' UFC 296 stands out as a prime candidate. Otherwise, there is an undisclosed event on December 2 which he'd make a great addition to.

Grant's defeat marks his first loss under the UFC banner, and an unfortunate end to his first main event showing. Green on the other hand puts together his first win-streak since early 2022, since his Jared Gordon KO was overturned in April. "King" will be looking at a spot in the lightweight rankings after this huge upset victory.
