Canelo Alvarez Sends Blunt Message To Conor McGregor Amid Social Media Feud

Canelo and McGregor aren't mincing words.

Canelo Alvarez and Conor McGregor continue to hurl strong barbs on social media.

Alvarez is the undisputed super middleweight champion of boxing. McGregor is MMA's biggest star and a former two-division UFC titleholder. The "Notorious" one has long flirted with the idea of returning to the boxing ring, and one of his targets has been Canelo Alvarez.

The two have once again reignited their beef on social media. This time, it began when McGregor insinuated that he performed better against International Boxing Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather than the Mexican superstar did.

"One of the greatest performances in Professional Boxing this was," McGregor wrote. "I landed more shots on Floyd than Canelo. I’d love another go."

It didn't take long for Canelo Alvarez to respond, reminding Conor McGregor that their experiences in boxing can't be compared.

"I just need one hand with you and I don’t need to throw so many punches," Canelo wrote.

McGregor viciously fired back, letting Canelo know the outcome he thinks would occur if the two fought under MMA rules.

"Saul you uncooked chicken, I’ll stomp the ligaments out of your knee joint," McGregor fired back. "I don’t even need hands to end you, I’ll kick you raw pink, leave you looking like you were left out in the sun too long haha freckle arse. I will see you and we will see. Canelo is a cornflake, no sugar."

Canelo is coming off a successful defense of his unified 168-pound gold back in late September. He defeated junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo via unanimous decision.

As for McGregor, he's looking to make his return to the Octagon in 2024 after recovering from a fractured tibia and fibula.
