WWE superstar Cody Rhodes has wrestling fans buzzing in anticipation of a crucial WrestleMania 40 press conference in Las Vegas.

There has been a lot of speculation on which direction WWE will ultimately go in for the company's biggest show of 2024. Fans were stunned at the conclusion of the February 2nd episode of WWE SmackDown. Rather than declare himself as Roman Reigns' next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Rhodes gave up his opportunity so that The Rock could step in to face "The Tribal Chief."

Many fans were aghast with the storyline twist and have lashed out at the angle. There is still hope for those fans going into tonight's press event.

WrestleMania 40: WWE Superstar Hurls Dig At The Rock Amid Cody Rhodes Drama

WWE has hinting at a major announcement for its WrestleMania 40 kickoff stream, which will air at 7 p.m. ET tonight. On WWE RAW this past Monday, play-by-play commentator Michael Cole stressed that Roman Reigns vs. The Rock has not been made official, and neither has Cody Rhodes' decision on who he will be challenging.

Rhodes won the 2024 Royal Rumble match, which means he'll either be challenging for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship held by Seth Rollins.

Cody dropped a huge tease on his Instagram Stories just hours before the presser gets underway:

"I've made my decision," Cody Rhodes wrote.

Some have theorized that Reigns vs. The Rock could headline night 1 of WrestleMania 40 on April 6, while Rhodes meets the winner on night 2 on April 7. It's all speculation until tonight's live stream begins.
