Colby Covington has continued his feud with reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland.

Back in March 2022, Covington was interviewed by James Lynch for SportsKeeda MMA. "Chaos" was asked to share his thoughts on Strickland, and he downplayed knowing who he was. Covington was quite dismissive, even referring to Strickland as a "she."

Never one to hold his tongue, Strickland fired back at Covington shortly after with a video clip posted on Instagram, and yes, he was in his car.

"Covington, you like to run your f****** mouth," Strickland said. "Bro, we all seen what [Fabricio] Werdum did to you. Werdum walked up to you, f****** punked you, you ran away and you pulled out your phone and recorded him like a f****** Karen, bro. You're a f****** embarrassment. Yeah, dude, I'll be honest with you, you're a good fighter. But as far as a man, you're f****** pathetic."

Colby Covington Could Retire After Leon Edwards Fight, Says UFC Knockout Artist

During a recent interview with Code Sports, Colby Covington rekindled the beef with Sean Strickland, taking aim at his IQ.

“He’s pretending to be everything he wishes I was,” Covington said. “I would love to slap Sean Strickland around. He’s a pathetic excuse of a human being. The guy has no IQ. He needs his mouth wired shut and I’m the guy to do it.”

For now, Covington will need to keep his focus on Leon Edwards. Covington is challenging "Rocky" for the UFC Welterweight Championship this Saturday night (December 16). The title fight will headline UFC 296 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
