UFC CEO Dana White Reacts to Jamahal Hill's Arrest: "I Literally Don't Know Anything"
UFC CEO Dana White has reacted to the recent arrest of former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill.
Late last week, TMZ reported that Hill was arrested on November 27 following an alleged altercation with his brother James Anthony Hill Jr. Jamahal was charged with one count of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence. Hill wouldn't be in police custody for long, as he was released that same day. A January court hearing is reportedly scheduled.
BREAKING: Ex-UFC Champ Jamahal Hill Arrested After Altercation With Brother
During the UFC Austin post-fight press conference, Dana White made it clear that he's staying out of the personal matters involving Jamahal Hill and his family.
“I know nothing about it," White said "I literally don’t know anything. Obviously, it’s something between him and his brother. That’s some family s*** and I’m sure they’ll figure that out.”
Hill recently addressed the situation on his YouTube channel, but wouldn't go into much detail as the legal process is ongoing. He did say that he is looking forward to the "truth" being revealed in due time.
As he continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles, Hill appears to be the logical choice for Alex Pereira's first defense of the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. After all, Hill was forced to vacate the 205-pound gold due to the injury.
Fans are now left to wonder how much longer before Jamahal Hill can be cleared to return to the Octagon, and whether or not his current legal situation will delay his return to action.
