UFC President Dana White has shared his thoughts on how Nate Diaz performed against Jake Paul.

As many expected, Diaz fell short in his boxing match against "The Problem Child." While one UFC Hall of Famer wasn't impressed by the Stockton native's effort, others have praised Diaz for making the fight interesting at certain points.

Diaz was knocked down in the fifth round, but that didn't deter him from moving forward and landing on Paul. The punches just didn't have enough power to get ahead in the fight, and Diaz was beaten via unanimous decision.

During a media scrum following an edition of the Contender Series, Dana White heaped praise on Nate Diaz for taking the fight to Jake Paul as best as he could.

"For a kid pushing 40 years old, fighting a guy four weight classes bigger than him in boxing and two in MMA, and going the distance at his age against a f****** 20-something year old kid, so far he's fared the best out of everybody," White said. "He looked good, I'm happy for him."

White also said he doesn't know if Nate Diaz will return to the UFC to fight, but he has great appreciation for the Diaz brothers. White said both Nate and Nick Diaz will be remembered by combat sports fans 20 years from now.
