UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier Reacts To Conor McGregor Allegations
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier has shared his take on the current situation Conor McGregor finds himself in.
McGregor attended game four of the NBA Finals clash between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets. The "Notorious" one got more than he bargained for in terms of blowback from the event. He reportedly injured the Miami Heat mascot during a skit, but the former two-division UFC champion insists nothing went wrong during the bit and the mascot is fine.
Soon, McGregor would find himself on the receiving end of a sexual assault allegation from a woman who was inside the Kaseya Center for that NBA Finals game. Representatives of McGregor denied the accusation. The UFC and Miami Heat issued statements following the alleged incident.
During an episode of ESPN's "DC & RC," Cormier discussed what he believes is hindering McGregor when it comes to finding himself in certain situations.

"You almost become a victim to the fame, and it seems as though he's unwilling to let go of that," Cormier said. "To let go of the idea that he could do less, that he has to be insulated, that he has to be surrounded by people that say no. As you and I both know, especially fighters, as you sign all the checks people are less likely to say no to you because they don't want to let go of the money, and I think that is what McGregor finds himself in that situation."
Time will tell what the fallout will be from the allegations. Recently, footage was released of McGregor seemingly guiding the alleged victim to a washroom. It's unclear from the footage what the intentions were.
