VIDEO: Brendan Allen Chokes Bruno Silva at UFC Jacksonville
Brendan Allen entered UFC Jacksonville on a mission, and he succeeded.
Allen shared the Octagon with Bruno Silva on the main card opener of UFC Jacksonville. The two competed inside the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday (June 24). Allen finished this one at the end of the opening frame, securing a rear-naked choke to force the tap.
Here's a look at the finish of Brendan Allen vs. Bruno Silva.
Going into this bout, Allen was the number 13-ranked UFC middleweight. He now ensures that he remains on the 185-pound ladder.

During his post-fight interview with UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier, Allen made it clear that he's gunning for the UFC Middleweight Championship. He called for big fights with Jared Cannonier and Dricus du Plessis.
As for Silva, he has now gone 1-3 in his last four outings. It's a far cry from the seven-fight winning streak Silva had from late 2017 all the way through 2021. Silva will turn 34 years old next month, so he may still have some time to turn things around, but he'll need to figure something out in order to change his misfortune.
