Fight fans have been given a behind the scenes look at Conor McGregor's 2018 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor and Nurmagomedov headlined UFC 229 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout was contested for the UFC Lightweight Championship, but it was the bad blood that dominated the headlines. McGregor and "The Eagle" got into fierce verbal exchanges on social media and in person leading up to the mega fight.

Ultimately, Nurmagomedov won the bout via fourth-round submission. After the fight, Nurmagomedov jumped over the cage and went after members of McGregor's team, more specifically Dillon Danis. Inside the Octagon, McGregor brawled with members of "The Eagle's" team.

The post-fight melee wasn't important to the "Notorious" one, however. It was the fact that a fierce rival got the better of him on fight night.

A clip from "Mystic Mac's" new documentary, "McGregor Forever," has surfaced and it reveals an emotional McGregor being consoled by his coaches and family. UFC President Dana White also spoke to McGregor after the fight, and the "Notorious" one couldn't focus on anything other than his defeat.

McGregor has gone 1-2 since that loss to Nurmagomedov. Some have questioned if the UFC's first simultaneous two-division champion has seen his best days inside the Octagon vanish.

McGregor is hoping to prove the naysayers wrong, starting with his expected clash against Michael Chandler at some point in the future. As it stands now, some within the MMA industry are even doubting that the bout will take place at all.
