VIDEO: Horrific Staph Infection Leaves MMA Fighter At Risk Of Amputation
One MMA fighter is facing amputation due to a "nightmare" staph infection.

The MMA competitor in question is Tim Schultz. He is a pro from Australia with a record of 3-1, per Tapology. He recently scored a submission win over Michael Stanoff. Unfortunately for Schultz, he's dealing with a very serious situation.
Schultz has taken to his Instagram account to reveal images and video of his severe staph infection. The fighter claims doctors in Thailand told him there would be a small incision made to remove bacteria, but that ended up not being the case. "Where we are at, we are trying to get me home in the next day or two, I’ve two surgeries," Schultz said. "Both of which I have woken halfway though and has someone the most painful experience of my left. I was told that there be an incision made to remove the bacteria. I have now have zero skin in the top of my foot."
UFC women's flyweight Casey O'Neil took to her Twitter account to reveal an image of the horrifying state of Schultz's staph infection. O'Neil says the fighter is facing amputation and may never fight again.

A donation page for Schultz has been created through Mycause.com.au. As of this writing, $45,445 of the $100,000 goal has been met. Schultz is trying to make it back home in Australia to receive the best medical care before things get worse. In an update posted on his Instagram, it was noted that Schultz's team is looking to get him on a commercial flight back to Australia on the evening of May 30.
