Jake Paul and Nate Diaz have wrapped up their boxing match.

The two did battle inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on August 5. It was the first boxing match in Diaz's pro combat sports career. As for Paul, this was the eighth time he entered the boxing ring as a pro.

Round one was all Jake Paul, who pressured Nate Diaz with big hooks upstairs. He had the Stockton native backpeddling before he finally tied up. It was clear that Diaz's punches didn't look to have power early on and he would rely on accumulation as he has throughout his MMA career.

Right hands were there for Paul in the second round, but Diaz answered back with a right hand. This was a far closer round, as Diaz was moving forward after taking Paul's best shots in the opening frame.

A big counter left hook landed clean for Paul in the third round. Diaz moved forward and landed some pit-pat punches. Commentators Shawn Porter and former UFC fighter Dan Hardy questioned if Diaz was relying on accumulation with the boxing gloves.

A combination was there for Diaz in the fourth round. The combo ended with a straight punch down the pipe. Diaz continued his relentless pressure and it appeared to be enough to win the round.

In the fifth round, Diaz was knocked down with a counter fadeaway hook on the temple. Diaz got back to his feet and Paul landed an uppercut and continued pour it on, but Diaz survived the round and continued fighting until the bell.

Diaz never stopped moving forward and in the eighth round, and scored punches on a fading Paul. Uppercuts were there for the Stockton native. Diaz had a big end to the round with a combination.

The bout went the distance, and Jake Paul was clearly the more effective puncher of the two. He won the fight via unanimous decision, but Diaz's heart and cardio were on full display.
