VIDEO: MLB Legend Barry Bonds Earns Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt
Barry Bonds has gone from hitting baseballs to hitting the mats.
Bonds, who holds the record for the most home runs in an MLB career, has gotten his share of work in when it comes to Brazilian jiu-jitsu. That much is evident thanks to a video posted by Evolve Training Center.
At the end of the clip, Evolve Training Center co-owner and head conditioning coach John J. Janero awarded Bonds his BJJ blue belt. Janero said that while no one is given special treatment at his facility, he admitted that Barry Bonds was his idol.

Oftentimes, individuals are humbled when they move up in the BJJ belt ranks, and the San Francisco Giants legend is no exception.
The official Instagram account of Evolve Training Center also included the following caption to recognize the promotion for Bonds, as well as other members of the gym.
"Hard work + dedication = Blue belt. This past week we had a blue belt promotion at Evolve. Five gentlemen had the opportunity to get promoted after passing their test. Congratulations to Alex, Angelo, Kris, Steven, and Barry on getting promoted to their blue belts. These fine gentlemen will only continue to evolve."
