Hugo Lezama has his combinations so well-drilled that he still finished a takedown even after he knocked out Alejandro Solorzano with a massive punch.

The two fighters met in the main event of Budo Sento Championship 16, which took place on August 11 in Mexico City and featured both men competing to claim the promotion's vacant heavyweight title.

Lezama entered the night with back-to-back wins after stopping both opponents he faced last year, but even the 19-second knockout he scored against Carlos Chable wasn’t anywhere near as crazy as the finishing sequence he pulled off against Solorzano in Mexico City.

With just over a minute gone in the fight’s opening round, Lezama connected with a huge overhand left and immediately grabbed ahold of Solorzano’s legs to bring his countryman to the mat.

It immediately became apparent to the broadcast team that Solorzano was already unconscious even as Lezama finished his takedown, and luckily “Pandemonium” held back on any follow-up punches as soon as he realized the fight was over.

The wild finishing sequence now puts Lezama on a three-fight streak of finishes after he came up short in his Budo Sento Championship debut in 2021, and now that he’s the promotion’s heavyweight champion the 35-year-old will try to add to a growing highlight reel whenever he defends his new title for the first time.
