Combat sports fan are no strangers to witnessing gruesome injuries, but the way that Dylan Reischman’s pro debut ended was one of the ugliest things that's ever occurred in a fight.

The bantamweight was originally supposed to make his pro debut for Ultimate Warrior Challenge last July, but when that matchup fell through Reischman was rebooked to turn pro at a Combate Global event on September 2.

Facing Jaime Mora- Muñoz in Miami, Reischman fought off an early takedown attempt before ending up in clinch with his back along the cage. Mora- Muñoz quickly transitioned to a body lock and lifted his opponent off his feet, but things took a gruesome turn as soon as “The Gentleman” completed his takedown.

Reischman’s left leg above the knee folded underneath him as he hit the mat, and the 21-year-old immediately started to tap frantically as he tried to get the attention of the referee.

Mora-Muñoz luckily didn’t land any ground strikes and quickly got to his feet after the referee stepped in, but he was visibly distressed as he looked down and saw the horrific injury his opponent had sustained.

Reischman previously put together a solid amateur career for Missouri-based Fighting Alliance Championship where he went 3-1 and secured all three of his wins via rear naked choke.

The result was a terrible way for the 21-year-old’s pro debut to end, and combat sports fans everywhere will be hoping that Reischman is able to resume his fighting career once his leg is fully healed.
