One crucial backstage worker has made his shocking exit from WWE.

Departures are nothing new in the pro wrestling industry, or any other line of work. Even recently, we've seen WWE part ways with the likes of former Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown play-by-play commentator Kevin Patrick, as well as former co-host of The Bump, Matt Camp.

While this latest split doesn't involve an on-air talent, it's still significant nonetheless.

BREAKING: WWE Reportedly Scoops Up Major Free Agent Formerly Of NJPW

A member of the WWE NXT creative team, Nick Bonanno, has left the company, per PWInsider. Bonanno served as a writer and producer for WWE's developmental brand. He first started with the company back in the spring of 2022.

There is currently no word on why Bonanno made his exit, but he wrapped up after last week's round of tapings.

The news comes on the same day of the final NXT episode of February. Tonight's show will feature the return of two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T on commentary. Booker had been out of commission after undergoing a medical procedure.

With this being the first episode of NXT without Bonanno in almost two years, it'll be interesting to see if any key changes will be made in the coming weeks and months. The NXT brand has received praise for developing stars such as Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes, along with the pairing of Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin.

There's no word on what ideas were Bonanno's during his time with WWE, but we'll soon know just how much of an impact his departure has.
