WWE SmackDown Tonight: Surprising Name Added To Post-WrestleMania Kickoff Show

A shocking name has been added to WWE SmackDown tonight.

One huge name has been added to tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown.

Tonight's show from the blue brand will emanate from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC. Plenty of eyeballs figure to be on tonight's episode, as it follows a chaotic WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press event in Las Vegas. The press conference concluded with The Rock slapping Cody Rhodes in the face after he felt "The American Nightmare" disrespected his family.

Before the slap heard around the world, Cody declared that he will be challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40.

WWE has announced that its Chief Content Officer, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, will be addressing what transpired at the conclusion of the Las Vegas event.

After the incident, Dwayne Johnson was stewing backstage with Roman Reigns, and Paul Heyman. In the middle of Triple H's interview with Jackie Redmond, The Rock warned WWE's CCO to fix the Cody problem or his family will. He also threatened to lay the SmackDown on Rhodes' teeth:

Also on tap for SmackDown tonight will be the 2024 women's Royal Rumble winner Bayley. She will be discussing her unceremonious split from Damage CTRL. During last week's show, Bayley announced that she will be challenging IYO SKY for the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 40.

We'll also see a qualifying match for the women's Elimination Chamber between Bianca Belair and Michin. On top of that, a number one contender match for the WWE Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships, currently held by Damien Priest and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day, will take place. It'll be Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate taking on Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of DIY.
